About the Team

The Marketing Automation team combines strong analytical thinking with deep technical expertise to power our marketing operations. We specialize in managing and optimizing Marketo and integrated marketing technologies to ensure a seamless connection between Marketing and Sales. Our mission is to build scalable systems and processes that empower our marketers and drive operational excellence across the business.

About the Role

Are you someone who loves digging into systems, solving puzzles, and making life easier for marketers? Do you get excited about bringing clarity to complex processes and helping teams work smarter—not harder? If so, we’d love to meet you!

We’re looking for a Senior Marketing Automation Manager to own and evolve our core marketing tech stack—starting with Marketo.

You’ll maintain and improve our foundational infrastructure, manage cross-system integrations (including M&A-related activities), and document scalable processes across platforms like Adobe Journey Optimizer B2B and Adobe Real-Time CDP.

Most importantly, you’ll lead efforts to make our marketing team more self-sufficient by building tools, guides, and training that enable them to thrive.

This role is a great fit for someone who is both strategic and hands-on—who loves turning complexity into clarity and building solutions that last.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain, optimize, and scale our core Marketo instance and foundational marketing automation infrastructure.

  • Own the creation, maintenance, and delivery of clear, comprehensive documentation for marketing operations processes and platforms.

  • Develop and implement strategies to increase self-service capabilities for marketers, reducing reliance on technical support.

  • Collaborate with teams across marketing, sales, and tech to make sure our systems talk to each other—and support real business needs.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to marketing automation and lead management to ensure accurate campaign execution and tracking.

  • Identify opportunities for automation and efficiency gains in marketing operations.

About You

Minimum Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience in Marketing Automation

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Computer Science, or a related field

  • 5+ years of experience in Marketo, including system architecture, program templates, and lead lifecycle management

  • Experience working with Salesforce and managing marketing-to-sales integrations

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong experience developing documentation and training programs

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment

  • Background in managing marketing tech stacks within a complex or global organization

  • Familiarity with lead scoring and routing models

  • Experience with Adobe Journey Optimizer B2B, Adobe Real-Time CDP, and other Adobe marketing technologies a plus

  • Project management experience or certification is a plus

Our Approach to Flexible Work

With Flex Work, we’re combining the best of both worlds: in-person time and remote. Our approach enables our teams to deepen connections, maintain a strong community, and do their best work. We know that flexibility can take shape in many ways, so rather than a number of required days in-office each week, we simply spend at least half (50%) of our time each quarter in the office or in the field with our customers, prospects, and partners (depending on role). This means you'll have the freedom to create a flexible schedule that caters to your business, team, and personal needs, while being intentional to make the most of time spent together. Those in our remote "home office" roles also have the opportunity to come together in our offices for important moments that matter.

Are you being referred to one of our roles? If so, ask your connection at Workday about our Employee Referral process!
